Each year the Awards Program is held under the patronage of the sitting Governor General.  To date, we have been honoured to have their Excellencies Sir Orville Turnquest, Dame Ivy Dumont, The Hon. Arthur D. Hanna, and Sir Arthur A. Foulkes serve as the National Patrons.   The annual Awards Programs is held under the theme ‘Keep Your Eyes on the Prize’.

Since 1993 to the present, thousands of high school students throughout the Bahamas have been honoured. The Bahamas Outstanding Students Foundation remains committed to its agenda to bring to public view; highlight and reward students who exemplify themselves amongst their peers.  ​

     

Our reward based program seeks to encourage universities, colleges and community based businesses (local and abroad) to invest in the lives of these students who are excelling in either academics or athletic achievements.  Full or partial tuition or book scholarships have been awarded to the top male and female students in each discipline.  Community based businesses that have placed a premium on education partner with the Foundation by giving selected students computers, laptops or cellular telephones.
